Privacy Policy

Live Types has no user accounts and no backend server. Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser: JSON, YAML, CSV, XML, JWTs, and everything else you paste into a tool is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or stored on any server we control.

What's stored, and where

A few tools (tool input history, Living Types snapshots) save data to your browser's localStorage, keyed to this site's origin. That data stays on your device — we have no access to it, it is never uploaded, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. A service worker caches static assets (page shells, scripts) for offline use; it does not collect or transmit any data either.

Third-party services

We use three third-party services to keep the free tools free and fast:

• Google AdSense — serves the ads on this site. Google may set cookies and use device information to serve and measure ads, per Google's advertising policy. We don't control or see this data ourselves.
• Vercel Analytics — cookieless, aggregated page-view counts. No personal data, no cross-site tracking.
• Vercel Speed Insights — aggregated performance metrics (load times, Core Web Vitals) used to keep pages fast. No personal data.

What we don't do

No account creation, no email collection outside of you emailing us directly, no selling or sharing of data (we don't have any to sell), no server-side logging of tool inputs.
